Food and drink:
- we love good food, and cooking is our shared hobby. Brenda is in the kitchen, while Menno often prepares meat or fish on the barbecue. On the day of arrival, as well as on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, we serve dishes from French cuisine, often with our own twist. Sometimes it’s a three-course menu, and other times a daily special. All dishes are fresh and homemade from seasonal and/or local products and herbs from our own garden. You can sign up for this. Cooking in our kitchen yourself is not allowed.
- wine, beer, and soft drinks are available in our bar and can be marked on a tally list. These will be charged upon departure.
War Room: in our own ‘War Room’, Menno passionately tells about the important events, places and people involved in Operation Overlord using maps and visual material.
Jeep tour: it is possible to book a (Jeep) tour in advance. Menno will take you on a tour in his 1944 Willys Jeep (maximum 3 people) to the main locations in the Cotentin. You will visit the famous Utah Beach, where thousands of soldiers landed on June 6, 1944. You will also explore the hinterland, where you will encounter traces of the battle, such as bunkers, craters, monuments, and cemeteries. You will be immersed in the stories of those who fought and died here. You will be amazed by the courage and sacrifice of the men and women who gave their lives for Europe’s freedom.
Pet Policy: as we have dogs and a cat ourselves, it is allowed to bring one pet, only after prior consultation and approval. A surcharge of EUR 5 per night applies to this pet. The pet is not allowed on beds or other furniture. We kindly ask you to respect this in order to ensure hygiene and comfort for all guests.
Smoking: smoking is not allowed in the house and in our guest rooms. Smoking is allowed on the terrace and in the garden, provided it does not disturb the other guests.
Parking: is available on site.
Wi-Fi: is available free of charge.
